Welcome Dinner at camp. **Day 2: Hamelin Bay to Murchison River (276km)** Leave the beautiful bay for Australia's interior and rich sheep growing areas. Camp on Murchison River banks. **Day 3: Murchison River to Big Bell (256km)** Travel further east leaving goldfields behind, enter cattle country. **Day 4: Big Bell to Wiluna (220km)** Continue into Western Australia's gold mining belt. Hot shower and country home-cooked dinner await. **Day 5: Wiluna to Carnegie Station (342km)** First full day on the Gunbarrel Highway through cattle country with plenty of wildlife. **Day 6: Rest Day at Carnegie Station** Catch up on laundry, join station trip, or relax. Great meal at the station. **Day 7: Carnegie Station to Geraldton Bore (204km)** Continue east on Gunbarrel Highway deep into Gibson Desert. First sand dunes of the tour. **Day 8: Geraldton Bore to Heather Highway (158km)** Battle tricky Gunbarrel sections. Turn onto Heather Highway before camp. **Day 9: Heather Highway to Lake Christopher (376km)** Hit Great Central Road, stop at Walburton Aboriginal community for fuel. **Day 10: Lake Christopher to Yulara (421km)** Refuel at Warakurna, visit Giles Meteorological Station, lunch at Lasseter's Cave. Kata Tjuta and Uluru come into view. **Day 11: Yulara Free Day** Explore Uluru - walk around The Rock or take helicopter ride for aerial views. **Day 12: Yulara to Kings Canyon (306km)** Leave Uluru, head east on Lasseter Highway to Kings Canyon. Very soft section with amazing vistas. Camp where three states meet. **Day 23: Poeppel Corner to Birdsville (166km)** Short K1 Line stint, turn east on QAA Line. Lunch at Eyre Creek, fun at Big Red (Last Dune). Iconic Birdsville Pub for cold ones. **Day 24: Birdsville Races Free Day** Explore town and spend time at the races. Group dinner in town. **Day 25: Birdsville to Arrabury (292km)** Easy day with no sand dunes. Stop at Cordillo Downs (Australia's largest shearing shed), through Sturt Stony Desert. **Day 26: Arrabury to Thargomindah (445km)** Big day through Strzelecki Desert.
